Ave Maria (Bach/Gounod)

Bach/Gounod
arranged by Stephanie Bennet
Product ID – 700310-008PDF

$12.00

For flute, violin or oboe (playing an octave higher) may be substituted for the voice. There is an optional cello part (doubling the low notes of the harp part), so it can be played as a duo OR a trio.

The beautiful prayer AVE MARIA, melody by Charles Gounod (1818-1893) based on PRELUDE IN C by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750). Adapted beautifully for pedal harp, with alto voice (vocal range from G below middle C, to the second E above middle C). Baritone voice could sing it an octave lower than written.

Perfect for any Christian occasion: Christmastime, funerals, weddings.

About 4 minutes and 20 seconds long (or 2 minutes and 10 seconds long if you don’t take the repeat, but go directly to the second ending).

*Arranged by Stephanie Bennett (“One of our country’s top harpists” – the Hollywood Reporter)
