Hitit Suiti (Hittite Suite for Harp) LHS
$10.00
During the work on the Hattusa Project for the European Union in 2012, we found, from the figures on the Inandik Vase exhibited at the Anatolian Civilizations Museum in Ankara, that the harp was used as a musical instrument in Anatolia 3700 years ago. Obviously, it is not possible to obtain either an original recording nor a rhythmical character of this instrument performed during that time.
My composition Hittite Suite is based on typical folkloric Anatolian themes, syncopated rhythm, and my perception of the lives and times of the Hittites 3700 years ago. Thus, I hope that I managed to carry and reflect the scent, feeling and atmosphere of the Hittite times with this piece
