For SATB Divisi Chorus, Harp and Violin
A haunting and desolate violin melody supported by stark and endlessly undulating harp arpeggios yields to a sad and lonely drone that moves through all voice parts as it permeates the plaintive choral segments of this work commemorating those who died in the global Covid19 pandemic. Harp glissandos and a searching violin interlude ultimately give way to the final wailing cries of inconsolable sadness, followed by an emptiness that we hear in the hollow sounding arpeggios of the harp and a return of the poignant violin melody.
