Sparklers

Harpists love to play glissandos. Audiences love to hear them. In honor of Nancy Gustavson, the composer of a book of five easy glissando studies called “Sparklers,” Frank has composed a piece that is reminiscent of her musical style. However, he wanted his “glissando extravaganza” to be playable on both lever and pedal harps. Once you set your levers or pedals, there are no lever or pedal changes. Also, double bar lines have been added throughout the piece to make optional repeats simple and straightforward. This is an excellent opportunity for harpists to add more glisses to their repertoire (especially lever harpists).
