Lever Drill

“As a lever harpist, one of our challenges is managing those levers!

We are afraid to tackle a tune with lever changes, for fear we will make a mistake.  So, here is your chance to practice moving levers in a non-threatening situation, it’s an exercise.

I have provided the drill for harps tuned in the key of C major and harps tuned in the key of Eb.  Each key has a basic drill, followed by “Drill 1”, “Drill 2” and “Drill 3”s.  There are also “additional exercises” following.  Use each of these 11 additional patterns separately and apply them to the original, basic lever drill.  This will give your fingers a work out as well…” D.
