This setting of the familiar Celtic melody, “Ash Grove,” is set to a non-traditional style including jazzy chords (but does not explore jazzy rhythms). The tempo can be quick for a lively interpretation or slow for a mellow, contemplative mood. This arrangement is suitable for prelude, special music, or postlude in worship, or can be performed in public settings as Celtic standard repertoire. It contains four lever changes and four pedal changes.
