Harpist Jacqueline Pollauf has written a variety of works for both solo harp and harp ensemble, including original pieces, pedagogical exercises, arrangements and transcriptions. Her works have been published by Lyon and Healy Publications, Vanderbilt Music Company, and Oakway Studios, her own publishing company. A dedicated performer and teacher, Jacqueline resides in Baltimore, Maryland and is on the faculty of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She holds degrees from the Peabody Conservatory. No harpist is born with an innate ability to trill, but instead learns through deliberate practice. These twenty-six exercises strip two-handed trills down to their essence and gradually put them back together, working in a variety of rhythmic groupings and carefully placed accents.
