Impromptu for Harp, Op. 21

With a dissonant opening, Roussel’s impromptu opens into a modern sound with some phrases lingering and others quicker. The contrast in tempo, dynamics, and mode along with some lovely glissandos leave the audience in suspense and listening for what will come next.
