The lovely and popular melodies of Greensleeves, an English Folk Song, and O’Carolan’s Air, written by Turlough O’Carolan, are blended in this creative arrangement for four lever (or pedal) harps. Initially, the two melodies trade off, but gradually become more intertwined as the piece progresses. Throughout the piece harps 1 and 3 play the melody and countermelody, while harps 2 and 4 provide harmony and rhythmic structure. Fingerings are provided. Harps 1 and 2 each require a few simple lever changes, which are notated.
