Iliya Magalnyk – Accordion artist, composer, arranger was born in Moldova, where he received his education and started his career as a professional musician. In 1990 he immigrated to Israel, where he currently resides. As a professional, adult musician, he was fascinated by the harp, with its unique sound palette. In his compositions, Iliya experiments with various colors of both the harp and its combinations with other instruments. Ilya is a member of the Israeli Composers’ Union. His compositions can be heard on both radio and television. For a series of original pieces, entitled Wandering Stars, written for harp, accordion, violin and clarinet, he was awarded the Israel Ministry of Culture Prize.
