The Swan (Le cygne), the thirteenth movement from the suite The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saens, was originally written for cello and two pianos. The beautiful melody suggesting the graceful movements of the swan has become one of the composer’s most recognized compositions. It has been transcribed and arranged for many different instruments, danced to by famous ballerinas, and inspired a synchronized swimming routine. This abbreviated version is arranged in the key of C and the key of E flat, no lever changes.
