Liana Pasquali was born in Flume, Italy in 1915 and began studying the piano at age 5 and the harp at age 10. She graduated “Premier Prix” from the Conservatoire of Paris where she studied with Marcel Tournier. She collaborated with the Russian composer and conductor Reinhold Gliere on his Concerto for Harp and Orchestra which was premiered by Liana and the Radio Symphony Orchestra in Bucharest with Gliere conducting.
