Secondhand Lyon & Healy Style 3 Gold #8218

Built in 1980, does not come with a warranty. This particular Style 3 has been played very gently since it was built nearly 43 years ago. This handsome harp has a beautifully hand-painted soundboard, a warm enveloping tone with a very strong bass register. 

Introduced in 1911, the Style 3 is a modern version of the Gothic design found in Western Europe dating back to the twelfth century. Hand-gilded with 23+ karat gold leaf, the dramatic geometrical patterns and bold details featured on the column and base bring to mind the pointed arches, buttresses and vaulting popular in the Gothic style. The hand-painted soundboard decoration features an elaborate, swirling floral vine intensified with subtle blue and red hues.
