Turlough O’Carolan (1670-1738) was an Irish harper and composer. Among his many compositions in the traditional Irish style is this composition which shows elements of the Italian Baroque style, probably influenced by the music of the Italian composer Francesco Geminiani (1687-1762) who was then living in Dublin.
