Created for Christmas 2020 when the world was in Covid-isolation, this composition intended to bring warmth, magic, comfort and a smile to anyone who listens to the musical messages genuinely expressed by 4 Canadian harpists in Toronto.
Featuring favourite Christmas themes from Carols of the Bells, Nowell Nouvelet, O Come Emmanuel, Huron Carol, Jungle Bells and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. Famous Classical themes were paraphrased from Sleigh Ride, Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, Handel Harp Concerto in B Flat, Mozart Flute & Harp Concerto, Ravel Introduction & Allegro, Debussy Danses Sacree et Profane, Ginastera Harp Concerto, Hindemith Harp Sonata, Prokofiev Prelude in C, and Rota Sarabande. Extended techniques employed include Glissando, Harmonics, Whistling Sound, Rocket Sound and Pedal Slides.
