This piece was inspired by a weekend excursion on the Norfolk & Western (N&W) Railway No. 611, a restored Class J steam locomotive, built in 1950 for passenger trains. You can hear the engine sing as you play the slap bass. The piece is very lively, jazzy, and fun to play. It is in C Major with minimal fingerings and no lever or pedal changes.
