Haley Hodson is a harpist and educator based in Dallas, Texas. She has traveled the world thanks to the harp including stops in Chicago, New Orleans, Hong Kong and Ireland. She is an active freelance harpist in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and can be heard playing with groups such as the Allen Philharmonic and the Lone Star Wind Orchestra. She received her master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas. While at the University of Texas Haley was a winner of the Butler School of Music concerto competition and performed Gabriel Pierne’s Konzertstück with the UT University Orchestra.
Haley is also a full-time faculty member of the notable Frisco ISD harp program where she teaches harp in a public school classroom setting to students ranging from 6th to 12th grade. Her students have achieved All-State status and former students have been accepted into harp programs at major universities.
In addition to her work in education, Haley also serves on the board of the American Harp Society in Dallas.
Haley enjoys arranging popular classical music as well as record video game covers for her YouTube Channel. Haley has been composing and arranging for herself and her students for over a decade and is now excited to start bringing her music to the world!
