This All-American song in praise of baseball is arranged here for two to five lever or
pedal harps by Stephanie Bennett.
Harp 1 has the melody, and with five lever changes, is suitable for an intermediate-beginner. (F# is the only lever needed.)
Harps 2 & 3 are shown on one part because they can be played by one early-intermediate
player, or split into two even easier parts for beginners (Harp 2 is in treble clef only, Harp 3 is in bass clef only). Harps 4 & 5 are optional and can also be played by one person or split into two even easier parts. There are no lever changes in Harps 2 & 3 or 4 & 5. Each part contains fingerings, and each part contains lyrics so the players can also sing along.
Bennett says: “My student ensemble plays this at a senior assisted-living home
every summer, and the audience loves to sing along. We like to wear our baseball
caps when we play it!”
Note: the layout is such that you can print it out “double-sided” (if your printer
allows). The score and parts will then turn out neatly, each with front and back
covers, and with convenient page turns.
