This arrangement is a juxtaposition of two songs – Wonderful Peace, which is lush, melodic, and very harpistic; and I’ve Got Peace Like a River, which is rhythmic, percussive, and very jazzy (with five variations). This piece incorporates various jazz techniques including slap bass and walking bass, and includes a “gliss to nowhere” variation.
