This original composition is in E minor with only four lever changes (the same lever four times). It was inspired by a visit to a harpist friend’s retreat home located on the New River in Ashe County, NC. Frank wrote this piece while sitting on the back porch watching people paddle their canoes leisurely down the river. This is a lovely, soothing, relaxing addition to any harpist’s repertoire. It is suitable for preludes, receptions, relaxation, bedside, and other occasions.
